The Great Goss' Mission Cache Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

SpongeBob GrandDad: My son-in-law is no longer the sexton at the cemetery. A friend checked the site and confirmed the container has been removed. Time to put this one to bed. Thanks for all the good notes.

Geocache Description:

Multi-level. Locate initial site and project a waypoint to find the final site and container. Located at ground level adjacent to cemetery road. BYOP.

This cache is to celebrate my grandson, The Great Goss, on his departure to serve an LDS mission in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission. His father, my son-in-law, is the sexton at this cemetery and has given permission for the placement of the cache. The cache is not located at the listed coordinates. From the initial site project a waypoint at 211º for 0.12 miles. The container is at ground level adjacent to the cemetery road. When located leave the container in place and twist the cap to gain access to the log sheets. Has a small pencil.

The initial location is the headstone of my great grandfather. He lived in the old house directly across the street from the chapel on Center Street in Spanish Fork. His name used to be imprinted in the sidewalk between the hedges at the entrance to the property. While building the house his family lived in a dugout at the west of the property. On July 5th 1959 he was attending a Fast and Testimony meeting at the chapel on Center Street. He stood among the benches to bear his testimony and as he concluded and said “amen” he collapsed and died. I feel it is fitting to share this as an inspirational thought in his memory.
