Approx 2.5 km scenic walk from either end of this metalled walk/mountainbike trail.
APPROACH ONLY VIA PUBLISHED PARKING LOCATIONS/TRACK ENTRIES. NO SHORTCUTS ACROSS PRIVATE FARMLAND AS LANDOWNER CO-OPERATION HAS MADE THESE TRAILS POSSIBLE.
Waikato River trails have been developed over a 100km stretch from Pairere in the north to Atiamuri in the South. This cache is near the northern end, part way along a 5 km section of the trail.
No need to leave the trail.
For great views and a fairly level route park at S 38deg 01.773 E 175deg 39.473 (Near cache GCTTAY "Little Horrors")
For even better views but a steeper route down to cache Park at S 38deg 03.998 E 175deg 38.834
Or add a few hundred metres by parking at S 38deg 04.253 E 175deg 38.817 This location allows you to also take in Cache GC19JYC "Waikato Swinger" and an impressive swingbridge.
