One of the Colour Series.Can be done in a linear fashion, parking perhaps at either end,in Martholme Lane in Great Harwood, and near the church at Altham, or as a figure of 8 walk based around Mill Lane.
It is possible to go on footpaths across the field back to Mill Lane, but watch out for frisky heifers!
Most of walk is on good paths, but one 15 metre section is a muddy stream path and boots might be advisable for this, even in summer. Racecourse planned to be built near here, sadly.
