Geocache Description:

This will be a series of easy caches about places that I have either lived at/been to, or just some interesting stories or things that have happened to me or someone in my family. You are looking for a small pill container.

Small parking area right at cache and best accessed coming from River Road. Be careful.

In 1969 my mother remarried and our family moved to the Hawthorne area. The one thing that we had to get used to was the small planes that would fly over day and night. However we lived in a great neighborhood.

We spent most afternoons outside playing various games and activities. There were football games that were played in the yards. There was Kill The Man With The Ball, Peggy, 4 Square, Street Tennis, Hide and Seek and many other games.

For a couple of summers, I remember one of our neighbors would show movies on a sheet on his garage door. Most of the time they were of cartoons and my favorite were always Might Mouse or UnderDog. We could get a bag of popcorn and a cup of soda for a quarter.

What things do you remember doing as a kid?
