La Gran Reserva Natural del Corredor Ecológico del Noreste está localizada en el litoral costero de las ciudades de Luquillo y Fajardo, y es una zona de gran valor natural, paisajístico y ecoturístico. La primera vez que tuve la oportunidad de visitar parte de esta reserva fue cuando visité Playa Colorá, Playa Escondida, y una ruinas del siglo 19 que se encuentran entre estas dos playas. Cuando visito este lugar me detengo en un punto desde el cual se puede observar la costa de Fajardo y el Faro de las Cabezas de San Juan, y esa vista me encanta. Para llegar a este lugar debes ir al balneario Seven Seas y a tu mano izquierda caminar por la costa, hasta llegar al final del balneario, donde encontrarás una pequeña vereda que se utiliza para llegar a Playa Colorá y Playa Escondida. El cache se encuentra antes de llegar a Playa Colorá. No se recomienda que visites el lugar de noche. Por favor, BYOP y esconde cuidadosamente el cache. ¡Disfruta la vista!
English Translation:
The Great Natural Reserve of the Northeastern Ecological Corridor is located in the coastal zone of the cities of Luquillo and Fajardo. It is an area of great natural, landscape, and ecotourism value.
During my first visit to this place I had the chance to visit Playa Colorá and Playa Escondida, as well as a 19th century ruins that are located between those two beaches. When I visit this place, I stop on a part of the coast from which you can observe the coast of Fajardo and the Faro (Lighthouse) of Las Cabezas de San Juan, and I love this sight. To get to this place, you should go to the Seven Seas Beach, head left & walk along the coast until you reach the end of the beach where you will find a small trail that will take you to the place where Playa Colorá and Playa Escondida are located. The cache is located before you reach Playa Colorá. It is NOT recommended to visit this area at night. Please BYOP and carefully re-hide the cache. Enjoy the sight!
