Geocache Description:

This geocache involves collecting a number of clues and co-ordinates hidden in small containers en route in order to find the final cache. The geocache has been designed with children and families in mind and should be fun!

To get to the start of the geocache (co ordinates below in the additional waypoints) turn off the A40 into the pretty canalside village of Talybont on Usk. Upon reaching the T junction in the centre of the village take a left turn onto the B4558 and then take the next right. Follow this road which crosses the canal and is a narrow steep climb for approximately 2 miles until you come to a small parking and picnic area. The route should take roughly 1½ hours and is quite easy going with only one short fairly steep section. This is grassy but also boggy in places so suitable footwear is advisable.

The cache is a clear, plastic 2.1L container and inside is a logbook and pen, a ‘please read’ info sheet, a few swappables and a picture of the lovely little lady whom this cache is named after congratulating the finders!! The clues are in small clear plastic containers (2”x 3”). Please remember to replace them carefully where you found them for subsequent geocachers to find!

This cache was placed with the kind permission of The Welsh Pencelli Estate.

On a fine day the panoramic views from up here are amazing, taking in an impressive display of the mountains which overlook the reservoir and beyond.

So…....onto STAGE 1 and the first clue and co ordinates below. GOOD LUCK!!
