Geocache Description:

The Columbia River Trail connects Castlegar and Trail on the East side of the Columbia River. The part of the trail used only by hikers or mtn. bikers is a little over 11km long (as the crow flies) with very little elevation change. Late June to October is the best time to do this trail. During the spring, there are muddy areas, creeks to cross and parts of the trail may be flooded.

This cache is located near Jordan Creek, where there's a small bridge crossing the creek. The cache is up off the trail near a couple of cedars on the north side of the creek

Castlegar Parking area - Follow Columbia Road past the landfill site and through the open pit mining area. The No Trespassing signs are there to keep you on the main road and make sure you don't drive into the mining area. When the pavement ends, follow the small white signs with the brown arrows on them down the dirt road to the yellow gate and trail head.

For the parking area in Trail see; CRT - Thoreau
