Geocache Description:

Cache container is a largish lock n' lock attached to a tree.

The need to send mail urgently has been around about as long as the need to send any mail any where. From news of the latest 'enemy movements' in times of actual or impending war to the movement of critically important business papers, there has always been a need for some mail to move at a different speed than the run-of-the-mill mail.
In very early times it was common in far-eastern areas such as China to ancient Persia to old Greece and Rome, for relays of horses to speed the mail from place to place. Riders often rode around the clock to deliver the critically needed mail.
In somewhat somewhat more modern times, ground mail has always been available in various ' classes' , most of which really were and are defined by the speed of delivery. The advent of world wide air mail made for very quick travel indeed of mail marked " urgent".
Nowadays the vast majority of ' mail' is actually being sent electronically and there has been a noticable decline world-wide in letter traffic of all types. In todays commerce " urgent " is a term usually used to describe fast movement of good rather then simply communications.
PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE STAMP from Cache ! It belongs to the cache. Use it on your letterbox notebook then return it to cache. Remember to sign the log book.
