Take the road from Comares to Los Ventorros, park the car at the Ruta de Mazullar sign post on the right just at the edge of town. Follow the Ruta de Mazmullar signs to the summit. The cache is approximately 30 metres from the "salida" sign post to the right. It's a steep climb in sections on a rocky trail, walking sticks are helpful especially for the descent.
To the west of Comares and overlooking the nearby village of Los Ventorros, Mazmullar rises out of the Solano valley like a scene from "The Land That Time Forgot". The rock plateau is littered with the remnants of occupations by ancient civilisations including the Moors and Romans.
Local people still use this area for growing olives and almonds whilst other sections have become tangled and overgrown. What is here is fascinating! For more info see www.comares.web.com.
