Ahoy Matey! Traditional Cache
dadonthego: I am archiving this geocache as the location was hard to maintain with the variable water levels. Plus the pirate ship playground is has been replaced so Ahoy Matey doesn't make much sense anymore. If someone would like to place a cache in the park, go for it. Happy caching.

Ahoy Matey - This family friendly cache in Oak Shores Park is named in honor of the nearby playground in the form of a ship. The cache is just a short walk away from the fun playground. Path may get a little muddy depending on the lake level. Enjoy and please rehide and cover well.
Ahoy Matey is a small clear plastic cache good for small toys and trackables. Should not be too hard to find except tree signal interference. Please be mindful of muggle children in the area.
As this area is prone to flooding, the cache container has a carabineer and is attached to wire (already lost one container). Please be sure to reattach to wire and cover well.
For those that like a challenge, there is a real neat, but difficult cache nearby called Caching Challenge: Oak Shores Park v2.0 (not so family friendly).
