Geocache Description:

Mauthe Lake is one of our favorite places to camp and hike. Paw thought that this would be a good place for a kid friendly cache. Years ago Ranger Tom told us about the Amphitheater.

The trail starts just before the remains of a amphitheater that was used many years ago. The only part that remains is the asphalt pad in this rarely used overflow camping spot. If by some chance anyone is camping in this spot please do not disturb them. You are searching for a ammo box filled with goodies for young and old alike. The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Jason Quast of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager.
