Crow’s Nest Preserve is made up of 600 acres of protected lands along French Creek. The entire hike to and from the cache is about 2 miles and pretty easy.
The cache is on a private preserve owned and managed by
Natural Lands Trust which means Leave No Trace. Please adhere to all preserve guidelines and tread only on the trails and mowed areas. Please practice Cache In - Trash Out.
The preseve is open to hunting during the regular hunting season and visitors should where orange during those times. Also, you can report blocked trails and
preserve abuse in your find comment and I will pass this info on to the preserve manager.
This cache is a cammo covered plastic container. Please
park at the main parking lot and no where else. Don't be "that person" who will ruin it for the rest of us.
After parking, review the posted map at the kiosk. Follow the path from the corner of the lot and then follow the field edge to the left to the next trail section. At the end of this trail (Creek Trail), turn left and walk around the entire field. DO NOT cross the crop areas. After passing a wide opening, continue on and take the first trail you see on the right. Follow that past 2 obstacles and find the cache. You must then exit at the top of that trail and follow your steps in reverse.
Please return the cache back to it's hiding place exactly the way you found it. You might want to print this out and take it with you. Good Luck.
