Bolingbrook is home to a very
active scouting community and was recently recognized on June 14th
2011 Flag Day as such by our mayor and trustees as they dedicated
this area to local scouts. If you are not familiar with Boy Scouts,
it is an organization that teaches young men to be: trustworthy,
loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful,
thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. All very good words to live by!
As is frequently said by our mayor, if more young adults were
involved in scouting there would be fewer youth involved in crime.
After our family and members of our pack attended the dedication we
wanted to put this location on the cache map. Please “be
prepared” when seeking this cache and bring a pencil. Thanks
again to G.O. John and Carol for the seed container.
