Geocache Description:

South Jackson Tornado ***BE SURE TO SEE THE VIDEO***

One afternoon about 4:30pm or so tornado warnings were being broadcast on TV and radio. I was standing on the porch of a building in downtown Jackson, Mississippi, and witnessed a true & classic funnel cloud about 5 miles south of me traveling East. It crossed the Pearl River. Later that afternoon I made my way home to south Jackson on Wooddell Dr. and witnessed much destruction on Cooper Road. I walked down Wooddell Dr. to Oak Forest Dr. and then saw the damaged bridge (At the time it was a two lane road and totally down) on Cooper Road that crossed Caney Creek.
