Geocache Description:

Congratulations to zacknmom for FTF!

Please park at the coordinates N44° 24.719' W103° 28.985'. You will be entering the Fort Meade Recreation Area. The 6,693-acre Fort Meade Recreation Area is notable for its place in western history. This popular area is a mix of forest and midgrass prairie on the eastern foothills of the Black Hills, adjacent to Sturgis, South Dakota, in Meade County. This area is a great place for biking, hiking, and archery hunting.
You will have to get off the trail to find this one. Not far from the parking spot but you will have to walk through some tall grass. Contents are in a plastic peanut butter jar and mainly has items linked to the Sturgis community and South Dakota. When you log your visit please put the abbreviations of the state or country you live in. This cache is placed by some kids that are very into geography and wanting to know where everyone is visiting from. Enjoy the area!
