Since I have been geocaching, I have run into
many cache hints that have talked about trees. I have seen many
long and unpronounceable tree names… thinking, what the heck
kind of tree is that. I also thought who would know that! Many
times, while out geocaching with Wagun, we would stumble across a
reference to a tree type. The hint would go right over my
head… but Wagun would say, “There it
is”.
It started me thinking, is it just
that Wagun knows his trees?
Or am I the only person alive that has no clue about
trees?
Note to Self: MUST LEARN SOMETHING
ABOUT TREES!
OK I thought, while it has almost been a year
since I started geocaching, I surely would start to learn more
about trees… not so, this has not happened! So I have decided
to try to learn from other geocachers…
Now it is a no brainer that this cache is in a
tree! I assume that it is a type of fir tree or is it a pine tree?
I am thinking fir, hope I got this part right!
We have four types of fir trees and five types of pine trees in BC,
which one is this? I am going to rule out Subalpine Fir or Abies
lasiocarpa as I like to call it!
As I travel to other Provinces for work, I have
found a lot of caches in trees, very popular as you go east. Must
be a snow thing!
Anyways, I hate tree caches, usually in a cluster of trees. You
must pick the right tree as your GPS can’t always decide
which tree it is in. Great, there’s another nano-cache in a
tree… I
wouldn’t do that to you.
You seek a big silver
scuba bison tube in “one lone tree”, how hard could
that be!
If you haven’t figured it out by now…
the cache is in a tree!
I think it is in a fir; if it is not a fir, maybe
it is a pine, please let me know!
Again, what you seek is a silver scuba bison
tube. To make it even easier here is a picture of the
cache!

THIS IS WHAT YOU SEEK!
Have I mentioned how much I hate tree
caches!
You will need your own writing stick!
I have left a nice five dollar bill for the
FTF... oh yeah, you need to tell me what kind of tree it is
too!
OK, the FTF can still take the fiver, even if you
do not know what type of tree it is!
Happy
hunting….
Note: GPS signal was in and out when I was
placing the cache... here is the old fashion method,
It's in the One Lone Tree!
