Cache is located on the Paulinskill river wildlife management area. Parking is located directly across from cache site on Plotts Road.
Moderate tree climbing is required to obtain this cache. The first branches are approximately 8 feet off the ground making it a tricky climb. Once in the tree a short climb is then necessary to reach the cache. Please do not attempt this cache if you are at all uncomfortable with its difficulty.
My hobby of chainsaw sculpture inspired me to transform this carving into a unique cache. The detail was added using power carving tools. Enjoy!
The Paulinskill River WMA South is admired for its scenic beauty along with its diversity of habitat. It offers access to Paulinskill Lake, fields, forests, wetlands and the Paulinskill Valley Trail (PVT), which runs along its eastern edge. Many species of waterfowl as well as Great Blue Heron, Killdeer, Double-crested Cormorant, Belted Kingfisher and even Bald Eagle can be seen at the lake and in the small pond along Junction Road.
