Dawdling a bit further now, you can stop nearby and make it a Cache and Grab but it's a single track road and you'll need a getaway driver and the engine running, but you could walk from the village, like the locals. . Watch out for the ditch and the thorns and the jaggies.
This road is part of what the locals call "The V", this is a popular walk, despite the need to jump into the verge frequently when on the busier B742, one of the two main routes into the village. It could be called The V because the route forms a V or because of the Viaduct. . Just down from the cache location is the raod from Dalrymple to Hollybush, and at the junction is the Glenammer Bridge over the Primpton Burn. There was a Smithy here even after WWII, it was later replaced by Dalrymple Sawmill. There is little trace of the sawmill now, as it became derlict and dangerous and was flattened and the area planted out with a variety of trees. . The area as you follow the single track road over the hill has changed little throughout the last 2 centuries, only the addition of a few more cottages. From the Sawmill site head up the hill until the Glenammer Cottage is out of sight but before you can be seen from the next cottage. . Now back to the cache, it is a micro container located in the hedgerow. .
