Laramie's Best View Yet Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Tom.dog: As the years have gone by, I find myself wondering more and more if this cache is really worth keeping active. The view is great…but it doesn’t seem to be worth the risk of putting people in harm’s way with all of the traffic on this road. It seems as if this bridge has gotten busier with each passing year, and looking at this spot with slightly older and perhaps wiser eyes, I would not hide a cache here today if given the same opportunity I saw for one back in 2011. Thus, for the safety of the general geocaching public, I am archiving this one. Many thanks to all who walked up here to make the find!

Geocache Description:

I think that this cache may boast the best view cache in Laramie.

I will try to make this cache as pain-free as can be. First off, DO NOT ATTEMPT FROM THE INTERSTATE!!! It is on the bridge. I recommend parking on the south side at the turnaround near the end of Vista or, for a longer walk, park at the Harvest Christian Center down Skyline road a little ways.

You will need to come up to the top of the bridge and find the vertical metal post on the West side of the bridge that lines up in the perfect middle of I-80's lanes. Look on the bottom rail, it is a small magnetic container.

Be very careful, lots of cars up there. There is enough space to safely walk. I don't roccmemend kids. If you are afraid of a long drop to the ground you may want to rethink your decision of finding this cache.

Be sure not to forget to take in the view while up on top. Have fun and good luck!

AND DON'T DROP THE CACHE!!!
