A series of four caches placed on a public foot path running between the two Gardens, Buckminster and Walton. It is best to start from the Buckminster Gardens end, although it can be started from Walton Gardens if wished. Apart from the first cache the walk is not really suitable for wheelchairs as it involves narrow paths and a flight of steps,
Walton Gardens was built about 1933 to house the workers at the new engineering works moving from Kent to Grantham.
Buckminster Gardens was also built to house workers, but this time for the armaments factory, built in 1938.
The third part leads to a junction with three choices.
There are good views to the east of Grantham from this footpath, looking across to the Army Camp and Halls Hill area
This is the last in the series, for now any way, this one is especially for the youngsters and close to the footpath, I hope you have enjoyed it and cached the mole.
The cache is quite large and contains a 7x 4 inch plastic container with a little surprise, also a log book, pencil, pen and a few swaps including at the start, phone sock, ugly bug ball, teddy, game, fridge magnet, luggage label.
Parking available on Walton Gardens or Gorse Lane
