Geocache Description:

Quick P & G located just off of US-30 Exit 150 (Dayton Ave.). This can be a busy location at certain times during the day so some stealth may be required. Please park off of the main paved road so the large trucks can pass by here.

Unfortunately, it looks like the end for Dayton Ave. It had a good run. It began on the north edge of Ames near the Story County Conservation Center and McFarland Park and headed south. Dayton made stops at 13th Street, Lincolnway, and South 16th during it's journey, but crossing the highway did him in for sure. Dayton has many good friends, including NADC, Pizza Ranch, Manatt, 3M, Mediacom and Theisen and others. Even though he was re-routed near the end of his journey, he still managed to provide quality transportation needs for the residents of this fine community. All good things must come to an end, and this was the place where Dayton met his demise.

Cache is a camo'd tupperware container filled with lots of goodies, a log sheet and pen and an IGO 2011 Pathtag for the FTF if they want it. The cache is large enough to fit all geocoins and most travel bugs.

Thanks for geocaching in Story County!

*Congratulations to CyDriver on the FTF!*
