The K-Men Island Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

-allenite-: As there's been no response from the cache owner to my previous note, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the small island known by Lake Dubonnet. Snapping Turtles, Muskies and other creatures you may run into make this a fun find. We suggest you make a canoe out of a paper clip, your camp flashlight, and some 550 cord rope you happen to have with you. Once you make it to the island, look for more supplies to help you survive the trip back! There is even a bug for the first person to find it.

The Cayman Islands were sighted by Christopher Columbus, on 10 May 1503 on his fourth and final voyage to the New World. He named the islands Las Tortugas after the numerous sea turtles there. The first recorded English visitor to the islands was Sir Francis Drake, who landed there in 1586 and named them the Cayman Islands after caiman, the Neo-Taino nations' term for alligator.

Located in Lake Dubonnet, this will serve to be a treat. Motorboats and swimmers beware of the vicious man eating snapping turtles, muskies, and bass that guard this island. (unfortunately, no alligators).

This is a nice swim, or even nicer canoe/motor boat ride. Stop and fish for a while in the process. The container is an ammo box, when replacing, please reseal to keep contents dry.

Take something, and leave something.
