Geocache Description:

NOTE: Formerly part of the Hogwarts series - now a stand alone cache.


Unless you possess a magic wand and know a good lumos charm then a flashlight is required for this cache. At the trailhead enter the chamber on the left. Watch your footing because at certain times you may find the chamber damper than others. Proceed exactly 177 paces and look for a small second chamber several feet off the ground leading to your left. The cache is in the mouth of this second chamber. Please be considerate of the many remains of acromantula you will encounter along the way. You would not want to upset Aragog. And don’t forget to get the clue from the back of the log in order to find Hogwarts.

This is the second in a series of traditional caches to be released in the coming weeks to commemorate the most successful film franchise in history. The series will include:

Each of these seven traditional caches will include clues written on the back of the logs that will lead you to the final puzzle cache, Hogwarts.

The first to find prize for the final cache will be four tickets to see the final film of the series at an Ultra Star Cinemas near you.

The Harry Potter film series is based on the novels by author J. K. Rowling. The series includes eight films culminating this month with the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. The series became the most successful film franchise once it surpassed the James Bond film series in 2007 with the release of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

This second cache is in honor of the film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets . In this second installment Harry returns to Hogwarts and along with classmates Ron and Hermione attempt to solve the mystery of the Chamber of Secrets and the "heir of Slytherin” who really seems have a thing against muggles.
