Lakey the CAP-CAP's Story:

Lakey loves the outdoor life. She's always hiking, running, swimming and kayaking. She even learned how to fly. (How does she do that without wings?) Her favorite outdoor activity, however, is just to lay out in the sun on the beach.

Lakey was one of the first few CAP-CAPs to escape from The Pod (read how it all started at (visit link) ). Since she is in good physical condition, she started to run. Avoiding cars by hitting the ditch when she saw their headlights in the distance.

Muddy ditches, deep grass, poison ivy. Lakey was was exhausted when she came around the corner and saw the cool, blue waters of Pleasant Lake. In a flash she was swimming and splashing, having the time of her life.

After a few restful hours basking in the sun, she found a nice tree to hang in and took a long nap. You can find her in that tree most of the time, except for when she's down at the lake, of course.

POOR LAKEY! SHE MET HER DEMISE ON THE VERY FTF! SHE CAN HANDLE HERSELF WITH MOST CACHERS, BUT COULDN'T STAND UP TO THE LITTLE VIDA MICRO. VIEW THEIR LOG TO FIND OUT THE REST OF HER STORY. (CONTAINER HAS BEEN REPLACED TEMPORARILY)

The only real park in North-Central Jackson County, Pleasant Lake County Park provides, swimming, playground, and camping. Why not stay and let the kids play.

Neither Parks department web site nor signage indicate park hours.
