This cache was created for those cachers who enjoy seeing some of the state's often unknown or forgotten cemeteries, as well as those that are quite popular. No night caching and please be respectful of this location. The cache is a film canister with a log only. BYOP. I didn't hide the cache near any of the graves and ask that you be respectful of the family cemetery. It's OK to look but this is a solemn, sacred place that should be respected.
When they began impounding Nolin Lake in 1961, many of the family cemeteries that were going to be in the flooded were dug up and moved from the flood basin and placed in higher areas, usually into another cemetery or church cemetery. Some history books report that Meredith's owned and lived in the area where this cache is located. Small family cemetery located at the end of Math Minton Road. I've been told that this was originally a Brooks family cemetery, not sure of that. Currently, several families are buried here. This road is a narrow, paved county road with many curves. Do not be in a hurry.
