Hike (stroll) along Rockfish Valley Trail (the "RVT") in Nelson County between Nellysford, VA and Wintergreen Resort. Flat, streamside trail borders the Elk Hill homestead and provides beautiful mountain vistas.
Parking: N 37° 52.766; W -78° 54.511'
From parking, go west. Past 8 bluebird houses, 2 benches. Less then 10 minutes flat walk streamside.
Safe, convenient parking with nature education and trail maps available. Great birding. Dogs welcome!
