Maer Walk Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

AtlasShrugss: Sorry for not fixing this, lack of time has made this go disabled so long

I have spoken with a fellow cacher who has shown interest in the area so will be archiving this so they can place one of their own

This has been out for a reasonable time, and will keep it more fluidic to have new ones pop up by other people

Also I have plans elsewhere for others once I get the chance

Geocache Description:

A short walk between Maer Road and Carlton Hill, but then can continue all the way to Beacon Hill

A nice picturesque walk from Maer Road that spans the edge of tennis courts, a cricket ground, 2 play parks, green bowling and soon to be a bowling alley (construction of which is impeding access to Carlton Hill, however there is a short diversion along the road)

The route is well made, very few slopes so is accessible to all, with toilets and seating along the path. Parking is available all over, but mostly pay and display, waypoint given for best one.

At launch, the cache was loaded with a few items to get going.
- A new geocoin registered by myself (Exmouth Beach Ball Holiday Coin)
- A travelbug obtained on a recent walk up the River Exe (Smiley Two), may it go even further than the 20000 miles it has already gone
- £2 coin for FTF prize
- Clean log sheet

You will need to bring a pen/pencil - I do intend to put one in, and also camoflage it

Cache is well hidden, and I hope it stays that way. A difficulty of 3 is given as it is a busy route and the path is quite straight. However it was put out on a blindingly hot Sunday with lots of people about but still found time to place and note coords

Note: heavy tree cover may give a +-5 metre discrepancy in the location

Cache is placed halfway between the bench, and the "water thing" (any idea what this is?), but not against the wall or on the grass. No need to leave the path
