Geocache Description:

Inosculation is a natural phenomenon in which trunks or branches of trees grow together. The branches first grow separately in proximity to each other until they touch. At this point, the bark on the touching surfaces is gradually abraded away as the trees move in the wind. Once the cambium of two trees touches, they self-graft and grow together.

Start out at the posted coordinates. This is the trailhead. Now project a waypoint at 2092 feet and 287 degrees*. Proceed to this waypoint and look for any sign of alligators. Now project and navigate to another waypoint at 1958 feet and 46 degrees*. Here, about 30 feet off the trail, you will find an example of inosculation and, with it, the cache.

* True north assumed for all waypoint projections.
