The Rainbow Bridge series is a fun little series, fantastic for pet lovers like myself, and a tribute to the pets i have loved and lost over the years.
This series of regular size caches, takes you over various little bridges and contains only pet related items suitable for swapping! Please replace with pet related items only, whether cat, dog, fish, bird, etc!
This series is inspired by my favourite poem - The Rainbow Bridge.
This cache, the second in the series is a tribute to Charlie, my gorgeous White German Shepherd who loved her walks through Friday Woods!
Inside the cache is some info about Charlie, and also some animal stickers and pet toys - Please help yourself to a toy when you find the cache and take home for your pet!
Original contents were: Log Book, Tennis Ball, Cat Pencil, Dog rubber, 2 x Squeaky Dog balls and a Cat Toy.
If you make a swap, please add photos of your pet using the item you have taken!!!
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO PUSH THE CACHE BACK INTO ITS HIDING PLACE, SO IT CANNOT BE SEEN!!
Kind permission for this cache has been given by the East Anglian Training HQ.
Hope you enjoy the series and please think of Charlie as you cross the bridge!!
The Rainbow Bridge
By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.
For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.
No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.
They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.
For just at that instant, their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.
The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
And then, side-by-side, they cross over...together
Free Parking is available at the visitor car park.
Please cover well when replacing!
