Geocache Description:

While Barb and I were out checking on our caches today we spotted this "shortcut" and decided to check it out. Well it only made sense to hide a cache showing others of this little known secret. Of course it is only a shortcut now due to the high waters. When the waters recede I doubt this cache will be very accessable but that only leads to the fun right? This is actually a short cut after doing Seastar Island, park n grab and shallow waters you can come back to this one and take this canal to the main canal cutting off about a 1/2 mile of paddling.

Now I know some of you might be wondering what is up with the name of this cache. Well there are some local cachers that have been wanting to do these Ulumay caches for quite some time now. They never seem to have the stars all aligned to actually go after them. Well, we hid a cache named for Riffster but that did not get them out here so now we are naming a cache after their "team name" "the wedding crashers" in hopes this is just what it will take to get them off the couch and into their yaks for a full day of adventures. Only time will tell.

You will be seeking a Decon container tethered to a tree in the canal. We have provided "parking" for your yaks right at gz. We hope you enjoy.

I am rating the difficulty of this cache based on how difficult it may be to get to the cache itself. Finding the cache should not be that tough. Because you have to have a boat to get to the location, I personally do not feel that accurately tells the finder what they are in for. Therefore my rating system on this cache is slightly different than most. Because the water levels are high right now it should not be too tough. However when the water levels are down it may not even be accessible.

While in the area be sure to check out the number 1 favorite Traditional Cache in the state of Florida A Cool Cache GC15RQB
