Geocache Description:

July 4, 2011. America's 235th birthday. A puzzle, but not too difficult, if you combine some thought with a couple of easy to come by pieces of info. America's existence has been a enigma to many people around the world and now this tribute to its birthday might be an enigma for YOU.

Congratulations to WORTH-IT 2010 and scorpio1537 on FTF and STF respectively. Keep on Caching!

GeoBarista and I saw a puzzle like this over in Ballard. The original did not have a patriotic Scandinavian theme, but we liked the concept. Ours does have a patriotic American theme which is fitting to the Fourth of July. Your mission, if you choose to accept, is to figure out what four digit combo relates to the theme. That number will open the puzzle box so you can sign the log. The box is only 4" by 4" so don't plan to leave anything of great size as a trade item. Be sure to hum "America The Beautiful" or other appropriate theme as you hunt to inspire your patriotic spirit. Extra credit will be awarded if I catch your Kate Smith imitation. The cache is on private property with both owner's knowledge and consent. The box is too small for a pencil, so BYOP. If you are uncomfortable with tromping around somebody elses yard while trying to dream up a solution, you can email me with a four digit possibility, but I suspect the correct answer will be obvious when you find it.
