Geocache Description:

John and Sharon call this place the Benjo - Japanese for toilet/rest room. I've always thought Alaska does a great job at outhouses but this one is spectacular and so is the view.

Haines Alaska has many surprises for those who come to visit. The best experience is had by those who don't need to stick to a tight schedule and who are willing to step off the beaten path and experience the local flavour of this terrific little artistic town. We met John by chance - I suppose we met his poodle first but that's another story. This cache will lead you to more than the buffalo tablet container and log book it holds. Please have a seat and enjoy the view. You will also find a slack line, a climbing wall (do not help yourself to this), a jar of snakes, a drawer of knives, a miniature motorbike and the most spectacular view of Rainbow Glacier. This is a private property and the cache has been placed with John and Sharon's permission. They are the most lovely people in Haines - probably in the whole of South Eastern Alaska. You'll probably see them around between the hours of noon and 6pm which is when it is recommended to do this cache.

As with many other areas of Haines with heavy forest cover and mountain terrain, the GPS may jump around a bit. This one should be pretty obvious though based on the description provided.

Check out this link if you want to see how much fun a family of four could have on a long weekend.
