Welcome to Ballure reservoir. A beautiful place for a long slow stroll whilst enjoying the scenery. Another place I love on the Isle of Man either for walking or just passing the time of day watching the anglers try to outwit their prey.
The cache is a slim-line metal ammo tin hidden within the Ballure Plantation a planted area of 30 hectares.
Ballure reservoir was built in 1895
Maximum water depth 41 feet or 12 metres
Water volume 19 Million Gallons
Water surface area 3.5 Acres.
The area is very popular with muggles so stealth may be required as they can sneak up very quickly from many directions. The GPSr signal may be a little disturbed hence the clue.
