A nice view from the old road bed east of Lyle.
First there was GCJZKN - The Old Road but that was too death defying for a lot of people, then there was GC1318T - The Old Road - New Location but I guess the ammo can didn't get rehidden very well and was too tempting. So, we are trying again. No defying death and no ammo can. All you have to do is climb a hill and dodge some poison oak. Start at the Cherry Orchard Trailhead parking area just east of Lyle. Climb up the hill to the sign-in box and then head to the left along the old road bed. There is poison oak along the trail and a sizeable drop off so be careful. We kept the cache away from the steep draw so no one would backup from the cache site and go over the edge. Enjoy the view and be thankful you don't have to drive on roads like that. Cache is medium sized lock and lock.
