At the posted coordinates you will find complete instructions for finding the cache. Expect to travel to two different locations, each within 3 miles of the posted coordinates. The actual distance traveled will only be part of your journey however. Expect to be taken back in time as you discover the Pioneers of Prairie Township who helped shape this area’s history. Be prepared to do a fair amount of research and investigation on your own to gather the information needed to acquire the final coordinates.
Solving this cache will require a fair amount of independent research as well as some calculation in the field. You will not be able to determine final coordinates entirely through research, nor will you be able to determine them entirely in the field. Being as prepared as possible before you set out for the final will reduce the chance of having to make multiple trips.
Finding this cache will involve some light bushwacking so expect that you may encounter the typical off trail hazards such as poison ivy, tall grass/weeds, ticks and mosquitoes. I did most of the field work in shorts and flip flops but I think long pants would be preferred.
