Geocache Description:

The Scotia Ferry was for a number of decades the only freight and passenger connect between mainland Nova Scotia and Cape Breton island until the Canso Causeway was built in 1955. Started in 1902, the ferry was made to transport 18 freight rail cars and 9 passenger rail cars at capacity. This cache is hidden on the grounds of the interpretative panels commenorating the Scotia Ferry and history of the Straight.

Cache contains numerous geocaching swag items, log book, pen; hidden in a brown taped peanut butter jar. No FTF prize or coins (yet), as previous caches in the area have lost their coins upon first to find. Only the caching glory of being the FTF is the prize.
Please rehide as found.
