Geocache Description:

Enjoy the Year of the Forest with a challenging hike in Hinckley Reservation.

This cache can be found from many different starting points.

This is not a quick cache or one that can be reached easily. This is a longer hike and the trail has numerous elevation changes. The parking coordinates are for a nice 3 mile round trip hike starting at the Hinckley Hills parking lot on Hinckley Hills Road that will take you through a number of different forest types. You can also access this cache from the parking areas at the Brooklyn Exchange Cabin, the Worden’s Ledges Trailhead, or the horse trailer parking by the Johnson Picnic Area among other starting points. Please note the signs that indicate “Authorized Vehicles Only” and do not park at these locations.

The cache is hidden less than 100 feet from a main trail. There is no need to bushwhack a long distance. Please heed all the signs indicating the areas and trails that are closed for invasive species mitigation. The cache is not in a closed area or on a closed trail.

This cache is hidden along the bridle trail. Horses have the right away and cachers should yield the trail to approaching riders. Please keep your pets on a leash for their safety.
