Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed on behalf of the 1st Didcot Downs Brownies, for their last meeting before the summer break in 2011

The Brownies meeting will be held at Harwell recreation ground where we will be having a picnic and doing a spot of Geocaching before breaking up for the summer, so please come and visit our caches.

Last year (2010) we tried Geocaching for the first time, and set off some Travel Bugs from each of the Brownie’s sixes, to see how far they could travel. This is how far they have travelled:

Nuts the Squirrel (from Squirrel six) – Nuts hasn’t gone far, only 68 miles but he has been to the cunning cachers Geocaching meeting in Thatcham

Stripe the Badger (from Badger six) - Unfortunately Stripe has only gone 26 miles and is rumoured to be in or going to America, but is currently missing in action, lets hope he turns up soon.

Spike the Hedgehog (from Hedgehog six) – Spike has not been far either, only 68 miles and is now off to a Geocaching Mega event in Wales with the Teddies.

Hop the Rabbit (from Rabbit six) – Hop is currently in the French Alps and has travelled 989 miles.

These logs are for the TB’s were up to date as of the 7th July 2011-07-06

If you see any of our Travel Bugs please help them on their way!

It is a micro, but there is only a very small pencil, so bring a pen.
