McDowell Chirp Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Christopher Pike: Unfortunately, this cache page has been archived due to the lack of a timely maintenance resolution. If the owner would like to have it reinstated, please contact me through my profile or email address within 10 days, referencing the GC code and name of the cache. Please note that un-archiving a cache page places it through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and look forward to seeing more of your caches up and running in the future.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

North Dakota's first "Chirp" cache!

Located in McDowell Dam Recreation Area.

The cache is not at the listed coordinates but a Garmin Chirp beacon is and the cache is somewhere in the park.

This cache can only be found with a compatible Garmin GPSr unit with up to date firmware. Once you have the current firmware you will need to 'enable' Chirp search mode via setup>geocaching>enable Chirp searching. Be aware that leaving the Chirp feature enabled may shorten battery life so it may be best to switch it off after you make your find.

Please check the compatible Garmin GPSr list to make sure your GPSr supports chirp.

As always:Use stealth.Watch for muggles.
