Geocache Description:

This is a Spirit Quest in a beautiful location. Take the time to look around.

You are looking for a cache in the Ridge Cemetery. This cemetery has a long history. It was established in 1876 when the graves were moved from the previous location in the current day Barnard Park. The groundskeeper told me that all the bodies were moved by one man. This person had to dig up the graves, load the bodies onto a horse-drawn wagon, fill the holes, load the headstones onto the wagon, take the bodies to their new location in the Ridge Cemetery, bury them there and reset the headstones. He made $3.50 for each adult and $3.00 for children. He moved approximately 3 to 4 bodies a day!! The cemetery got it's name from the "only hill in Fremont."
If you look to the south and to the north of the cache site, you will see the reason for the name of the cache. These trees are some of my wife's favorite types of trees. They really are pretty.
Please be respectful of the area, and observe all rules and any posted hours. Daytime caching only. Any logs indicating night caching will be deleted. Permission was obtained from the groundskeeper.

A new container has been placed and no TOTT should be needed.
