Descobriu el pont romànic dels Escalls
Discover the romanesque bridge of Escalls
Amagat entre edificis i vegetació trobem un pont que va ser molt important per la gent d’Andorra, tant per la seva situació com per l’història. El “pont dels Escalls” es un pont Romànic del segle XIII d’un sol ull i de gran alçada. Permet travessar el riu Valira del Nord just abans de unir-se amb el Valira d’Orient i per tant en un punt amb molt cabdal, d’aquí la seva importància per la gent que viatjava entre Andorra la Vella i la Massana. La seva importància històrica ve del fet que en la torre adjacent (Ara desapareguda) es va signar el Tractat del Pont dels Escalls que posà fi a la revolta del 1880.
Al costat del pont podreu veure una creu del segle XVI (rèplica)
El caché es fácil, el pont està al costat d’un parquing on teniu 30 minuts gratuïts, temps suficient per visitar el pont i trovar el caché.
Tingueu en compte de tornar les pedres al seu lloc, el catxé ja ha estat expoliat un cop :)
ATENCIÓ: per els comentaris enviats i la meva pròpia experiència la recepció GPS a la zona del pont es bastant dolenta, confieu més en el hint i les fotos, sino pot ser dificil ubicar-se

Hidden between buildings and vegetation we find a bridge that was very important for Andorran people, both for its location and for the History. The "bridge of Escalls" is a Romanesque bridge of the thirteenth century one-eyed and tall. Allows you to cross the river “Valira del nord” just before it joins the “Valira d’Orient”, hence its importance for people traveling between Andorra la Vella and La Massana. In the adjacent tower (now disappeared) was signed the Treaty of Bridge Escalls that put an end to the revolt of 1880.
Next to the bridge you can see a cross of the sixteenth century (facsimile)
The cache is easy, the bridge is next to a parking where you have 30 minutes free of charge, enough time to visit the bridge and find the cache.
Please,keep the stones in place, the cache has been sacked once:)
NOTE: My own experience and comments posted say that the GPS reception in the area of the bridge is pretty bad, rely more on the hint and spoiler photos!
