Kveøya (Kvæøya) er ei øy i Kvæfjord kommune i Troms. Øya ligger i Kvæfjorden, og deler denne i to sund: Bygdesundet på nordsida, og Øysundet på sørsida.
Kveøya strekker seg ca 10 km fra Hundstadneset i sørøst til Øynes i nordvest, og har et areal på 7 km². Det høyeste punktet på øya er 267 moh. Øya hadde 126 innbyggere i 2011. Øya regnes som svært fruktbar, med store gårdsbruk, og er bebodd på sør- og vestsiden. Nordøstsiden av øya er bratt og der finnes det ikke bebyggelse eller fruktbar jord.
Fra cachen kan du se "Haugkjerringa" som ligger på Haug.
På Haug er det en rekke nuter som stiger markant opp mot himmelen. I følge gammel tradisjon nedtegnet av en historieinteressert sogneprest på 1860-tallet, så gikk denne fjellformasjonen den gang under navnet ”Kveda” fordi det sang her under kraftige kulinger inn fra havet. Det ble ogsså sagt at stedet i riktig gammel tid skulle ha vært et samisk offersted. I dag kalles fjellformasjonen ”Haugkjerringa” ettersom deler av den kan se ut som en kjerringprofil.

Kveøya (Kvæøya) is an island in Kvæfjord municipality in Troms. The island is located in Kvæfjord, dividing this into two sounds: Integrated Sound on the north side, and Øysundet on the south side.
Kveøya extends about 10 km from Hundstad headland to the southeast to Øynes in the northwest, and has an area of ??7 km ². The highest point on the island is 267 meters above sea level. The island had 126 inhabitants in 2011. The island is considered as very fruitful, with large farms, and inhabited the south and west sides. Northeast side of the island is steep and there are no buildings or fertile soil.
From the cache you can see "Haugkjerringa”. At Haug there is a series of peaks that rise significantly against the sky. According to ancient tradition, recorded by a story interested the parish priest in the 1860s, it was the rock at the time called "Kveda" because the song here during a severe gale from the sea. It was also said that in old time would have been a Sami sacrifice site. Today the rock formation called "Haugkjerringa" because parts of it may look like a woman's profile
