From the gate at the Closest Parking waypoint, keep on the path until about 275-300 ft from GZ where you'll turn at a stream crossing RIGHT. This path can be overgrown in the summer and very wet most of the year. There are some ups and downs but nothing too steep. The bushwhack along the stream isn't too bad, but there is a lot of growth in the summer and rushing water other times of the year.
I proudly adopted this cache in June 2021. It is a beautiful place I first discovered when finding this cache back in 2018.
ORIGINAL TEXT: While searching for a place to put a memorial cache, we came across this spot. I instantly fell in love. It's quite a bit of a hike, but worth the nice walk. It shows the beauty of the mountains. Enjoy you're time, don't rush!! If you use the first (bush trail) waypoint, you'll have a hill to climb down... if you continue the trail you'll have water and wetlands to cross. I'm not one to enjoy the walk for a micro in the woods, but it was the only container we had at the time and a perfect place for it. The place is beautiful and if you try to think what it was like 100 years ago it makes it fun. Maybe I should start taking the walk.
