Geocache Description:

Calling all Cachers!!!

The Fourth of July has passed, the garden is blooming and the camping gear is being put to good use. But don't spend too much time resting on your laurels!

This is the second of three cleanups required by the State of Alaska Adopt-A-Highway program for 2011. GeocacheAlaska's Adopt-A-Highway CITO event is a great way to show your support for geocaching in Alaska and make our community a safer, greener and cleaner place.

We will be meeting promptly at 12 noon at the event coordinates. All volunteers will need to participate in a very brief (10 min. approx.) safety orientation as required by the State of Alaska.

Please be sure to dress appropriately. The State of Alaska suggests wearing long-sleeved shirts, sturdy, long pants and hard-soled shoes or boots. ***Sorry, but pets and children under 11 years of age are not permitted to attend this event per the conditions set by the State of Alaska. If you have a safety vest, please feel free to bring it along. If you do not have a safety vest, one will be provided for you. Other items you may want to bring along are a pair of work gloves and a respirator mask. We will be bringing nitrile gloves and some extra respirator masks should they be needed. Also, please try to carpool if you are able to in order to minimize our impact on parking. If you have a truck and are willing to haul trash after the clean up, please contact SaidbyStacy HERE
