This cache is one of two placed at Christie Falls. The waterfall is absolutely awe inspiring at this time of year (early July). Expect a short but technically difficult hike down to the waterfall through a forest that was burned in the Terrace Mountain fire of 2009. A 4x4 vehicle is not required to get here, but the more clearance you have, the better.
Christie Falls is a beautiful waterfall located near Terrace Mountain. The cliffs and waterfall itself has been used for quite sometimes by ice climbers in the winter. More recently the cliffs behind the waterfall are being developed by local rock climbers for sport climbing, with routes likely up into the 5.14 range of difficulty (really hard). Please respect and do not steal any climbing gear or tools that have been stashed here.
To get Christie Falls, start by heading north on Westside road. Take a left up Bear Creek FSR, and a right at Esperon FSR (about 13km). Take a right up Terrace Mountain Road (50°04.418N 119°39.888'W). Take a left at (50°05.955'N 119°38.655'W) down an smaller road. Park at (50°06.920'N 119°37.909'W) and take the yellow flagged trail through the burned forest to the top of the cliff. Proceed down the steep trail with caution.
Cache is a medium small Lock&Lock.
