Geocache Description:

This is one in a series of caches we are hiding called Just because - we've hidden them in places just because we like running/ walking there. This cache is located within Hamsterley Forest and is approx. a 2 mile walk up hill from the visitor centre, not far from Doctor's Gate disused quarry.

This is a nano cache - no room for anything other than a log.

This find could easily be extended into a lovely walk out on to the moors - follow the well defined trail through the gate where there are options for going out on to the tops of the moors to Doctor's Gate itself and beyond or following the trail back down into the forest. There are great views over the forest from up here.

In fact why no make a loop walk combining this with Just because #8, or for a longer walk with Just because # 10 and 11.

At the time of placing the heather was just coming into flower :-)
