Geocache Description:

Thanks to Boxhill for initiating the "Curse of the FTF (Wellington)" Series.

This cache is the next in the "Curse of the FTF (Wellington Area)" series of caches.

The rules are really simple.... Guidelines for this series are below:

1. FTF'er should place the next cache in the series (in this case, Curse of the FTF #18(Wellington) within 1 month. Please note only the FTF'er should place the next cache and not every time someone finds the cache.

2. You can only be a FTF for this series once, and no joint FTF's accepted on these caches. This spreads the FTF love around, and gives others a chance to play along. (This is at least till everyone has had a go at FTF who wants to).

3. Cache can be any size or type of cache (Puzzle, Multi, etc.), but I do ask that you set it within the Greater Wellington Area (Wellington, Hutt Valley, Wainuiomata, and Kapiti Coast up to Waikanae), and if it is a puzzle then it cannot be too hard, as it should be easy enough for everyone to find.

4. You must include this set of guidelines in your listing for the series. I will be happy to answer any questions concerning the guidelines or about the placing of caches to those who have not placed a cache before. There is no requirement besides the standard signing of the cache log to prevent you from logging this cache when found. Everyone should log their find, and hopefully the FTF person will play along and place another cache, but is it is no way a requirement for logging your find. But if you don't intend to carry on the series please do not FTF and leave it for someone else. Under Geocaching guidelines while there is no requirement for the FTF to place a new cache within a month, it is hoped that future FTF'ers, if they so wish, will enter into the spirit of the series, and continue to place new caches.

REMEMBER. NO JOINT FTF'S ACCEPTED ON THESE CACHES!!

The cache is a 200mL snaplock plastic container. It is located in native bush near a track that leads to Otari. It is a little known spot where the sound can be deafening in winter. There is a number of ways to get to this cache, the rating is for the quickest route and probably the one most people will take. However it is possible to get to this cache along the main path from the main part of Otari. The cache contains a logbook and pencil. It is fairly well hidden but do watch out for muggles that can approach without warning. Please note dogs must be on a leash.
