TCSF 1 Look and learn Traditional Geocache

This is the first of a series of Tri County School Forests caches to come. This one is named honoring the Archived one that we adopted from Jiggs and Maggie. An easy park and grab or a good start when the series is in place. It is and Ammo can with lots of swag and a Presidential gold dollar for first to find. Parking at

Tri County School forest is a well used teaching facility and has many interesting class rooms and outdoor teaching stations. It is used regularly in the spring and fall. This is where all parking is, so if buses are present or the gate is open, there may be classes going on. You may want to come back at another time. There are environment ed classes going on in June, but this is a small group of students and teachers. It is a multi use area , and hunting is allowed in season. Mostly it is used for Turkey and Deer hunting. Please wear orange during season.
The area hosts many groomed cross country ski trails during the winter, and trails are mowed in summer. Many benches made by the shop class, with carved inscriptions, and many identified trees also will be found. There are bathrooms at the shelter, and a port a potty at the observation deck. Wood ticks are everywhere. This series will take you to the amphitheater, Liza's Prairie, observation deck, and the challenge course as part of your hunt.
