Geocache Description:

The cache is located in the Laurentides Park near Quebec City. Drive north on road 175 for 23 km after Stoneham exit. At your right you'll see a small restaurant called "Francinette". You can park your car on the other side of the road in front of the restaurant. This is where your adventure begins. The elevation of the cache is 720 m (you're already high at the start point, maybe 550 m) and the precision is 5 m.

The cache is a transparent container with 2 pink flags. Inside you'll find 8 items and the logbook. It is hanging on a branch from a very strange birch. The forest is very dense all over the trip so when you'll be close to the waypoint keep focused on the birch.

The terrain is a very tough one. You need to be in good shape. A lot of good slopes and climbs are waiting for you. It's not rated 5 stars because you don't need any gears for climbing. Make sure to bring your snowshoes. You can bring your dog if it is well trained. I brought my english springer and my lab.

Allow a minimum of 2.5 hours to reach the cache area and 1.5 to get back. If you have a precise GPS 30 minutes should be sufficient to find the cache. Don't bring any child with you and don't go there alone. This is a good challenge for real players only.
