In Östringen befindet sich die neuromanische Pfarrkirche St.
Cäcilia, der Dom des Kraichgau. In the town of Oestringen there is
the neo-romanesque church of St. Cecilia, the "Cathedral of the
Kraichgau".
Als
Architekt
fungierte
der
badische
Kirchenbaumeister Adolf Williard (1832–1923). 1893
ist
der
Grundstein für die Kirche gelegt worden, im Mai 1895 fand schliesslich die Kirchweihe statt. Die Kirche wurde als dreischiffige, neuromanische
Basilika
geplant
und ausgeführt. Das Gebäude hat eine Länge von 55 m und eine Breite von 25 m. Der Glockenturm
eine
Höhe von 45 m
und prägt
damit
das
Stadtbild Östringens.
As architect acted Adolf Baden Williard (1832-1923). In 1893, the
foundation stone for the church was laid. In May 1895 the
consecration finally took place . The church was planned as a
three-nave neoromanesque basilica. The building has a length of 55
m and a width of 25 m. The bell tower has a height of 45 m and thus
characterizes the townscape of Oestringen.
